By: Staff Report, Grand Forks (ND) Herald

BISMARCK – More than 120 booths brimming with North Dakota-made products will fill the Alerus Center when the Pride of Dakota Holiday Showcase returns to Grand Forks, Saturday and Sunday, Nov. 7-8.

“You will find a wide variety of gifts, including foods and condiments, decorative items, books, jewelry, recordings and much more,” said Agriculture Commissioner Doug Goehring. “This is a great opportunity to do your holiday shopping.”

The Holiday Showcase is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Saturday, and from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., Sunday. Admission is $2 per adult, and includes a free, reusable shopping bag. Since supplies of the bags are limited, shoppers who bring their own reusable bag will receive $1 off admission. Parking is free for Showcase shoppers.

The shopping bag giveaway is sponsored by the Bank of North Dakota and Great River Energy.

Pride of Dakota Holiday Showcases are also scheduled for Nov. 14-15, in the All Seasons Arena, State Fairgrounds, Minot; Nov. 20-22, in the Fargo Civic Auditorium, Fargo, and Dec. 4-6, in the Bismarck Civic Center Exhibition Hall, Bismarck. The Fargo and Bismarck Showcases include a “sneak peek” event on the preceding Fridays from 6 to 9 p.m.

Authorized by the State Legislature and administered by the North Dakota Department of Agriculture, the Pride of Dakota program offers member companies opportunities to participate in cooperative promotion and marketing events, representation at local, state, regional, national, and international trade shows and educational opportunities. More than 430 North Dakota companies are current members. For more information on the Pride of Dakota program, visit www.prideofdakota.com.
