Marketplace registration and contest opens

BISMARCK – Registration for the Marketplace Invention Showcase and Contest is now open.

The Marketplace Showcase and Contest is open to inventors and innovators of all ages. The contest gives independent inventors the opportunity to gain exposure for their innovative ideas as well as an opportunity to test market those innovative ideas. The showcase and contest will be held on September 27-28 in Fargo, ND in conjunction with Marketplace of Ideas. Winners of the contest will be announced on September 28. Prizes will range from $100 to $1,500. Register today to secure your space and receive the early bird special.

Scoring will be based on the following:

- Uniqueness and novelty of the invention.

- The Marketability of the invention.

- The design and engineering of the invention.

- The inventions potential market size.

- The inventor’s presentation of the invention.

- The overall impression of the invention.

Special awards categories include:

- Innovation in energy.

- Innovation in agriculture.

- Innovation in technology.

- Youth innovators ages 14-18.

- Youth innovators ages 13 and under.
