United States Durum Growers Association hires new executive director

The United States Durum Growers Association (USDGA) has selected Clearwater Communications, Bismarck, to provide executive director services. Deana Wiese, Clearwater Communications’ vice president, will serve as the USDGA executive director.

Wiese is a graduate of North Dakota State University with a bachelor’s degree in animal science and a minor in mass communication. “Her dedication to North Dakota’s agricultural industry, reflected through her background, experience and education, will be an asset to the Durum Growers,” says Keith Deutsch, USDGA president, Plaza, N.D.

In addition to Wiese’s agricultural experience and education, Clearwater’s staff brings more than 120 years of combined association management and government relations experience to USDGA. “I am confident that Wiese and Clearwater will provide strong leadership and administrative support for the Durum Growers,” says Deutsch.

USDGA provides a voice for durum producers on agricultural policy and the durum industry, while striving to keep producers informed about the latest technology in durum production.
