SBA webinars offer free business advice to newcomers
Simple Steps for Starting Your Business is offered through a series of one-hour webinars.
The U.S. Small Business Administration is offering a series a six weekly webinars beginning in October designed to provide information on starting and managing business to new business owners. Potential business owners or those who have been in business one year or less are most likely to benefit from attending this series, titled "Simple Steps for Starting Your Business." Each webinar will offer a formal program of instruction with a live presenter who can answer questions through phone or on-line chat.
The programs are free and available to anyone with a computer and access to the internet and the ability to participate in the audio portion of the program using a computer speaker or separate phone.
Six subjects will be covered, including: business planning; forms of business organization; recordkeeping; regulations, taxes and insurance; marketing and financing. Sessions do not need to be completed in a specific order, but it is recommended that "Business Planning - Your Great Idea!" is the first session attended.
Preregistration is encouraged as a participant guide and resource guide will be provided to registered participants. To register, or for more information, contact North.Dakota@sba.gov.
