American Airlines to add Fargo to Chicago air service
Senator says new service will give Fargo travelers an important new option for air travelBy: Press Release, Senator Byron Dorgan's Office
WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Senator Byron Dorgan (D-N.D.) announced Thursday that American Eagle, a regional carrier for American Airlines, will add new connecting service between Fargo and Chicago O’Hare International Airport.
Dorgan said the new service will begin in April 2010, with three 50-seat regional jet, roundtrip flights operated daily. He said the service will give Fargo travelers an important new option for air travel.
“American Airlines’ decision to add a new flight between Fargo and Chicago is a smart investment that will benefit both the airline and the Fargo region,” Senator Dorgan said. “The city of Fargo is on the move, and this is a signal from American Airlines that it plans to be a partner in the growth of this community. More airline competition is good news for Fargo and our state.”
