Cirrus Aircraft Corp. to lay off 85 workers this week

Adjusting to a diminished market for its airplanes, Cirrus Aircraft Corp. is laying off 85 more workers this week. Most are nonproduction workers in Duluth, with jobs in development, information technology and administration, but a few of the positions are in Cirrus’s Grand Forks, N.D., facility. The latest cuts brings the company's layoff total to 550 in the past year.
