GRAND FORKS, N.D. - Northrop Grumman Corp. and the University of North Dakota in Grand Forks have signed a cooperative agreement to offer unmanned aircraft system (UAS) pilot training to domestic and global customers using SandShark, a remotely-piloted aircraft (RPA) trainer.
ORLAND, Fla. - During a speech at AUVSI's Unmanned Systems 2014, Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Manager of UAS (unmanned aerial systems) Integration Jim Williams announced May 13 that the FAA is working with several industries to expedite some limited commercial operations of UAS before UAS rules are finalized.

GRAND FORKS, N.D. -- The Air Force will sign a lease with Grand Forks County in December, allowing a technology park for unmanned aircraft to be built at Grand Forks Air Force Base, the state’s congressional leaders and the governor said Thursday.
BISMARCK, N.D. - Gov. Jack Dalrymple has appointed former 119th North Dakota Air National Guard Commander Col. Robert Becklund to serve as director of the newly established Northern Plains Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) Test Site.
