WORTHINGTON, Minn. — With yard signs from the Minnesota Nurses Association hanging across the city in a show of support for the nursing staff at Sanford Worthington Medical Center, parties reached a tentative agreement Thursday following mediation after months of negotiations.
In South Dakota our unemployment rate is only 3.8 percent. That’s very low compared to the national rate of 6.3 percent, and about half of the rates in California and Illinois. Worse yet, nearly 30 metropolitan areas have unemployment rates of over 10 percent.
